A Healing Retreat Centre on Cortes Island, British Columbia, dedicated to the profound experience of immersing oneself in complete darkness.
Across ancient cultures and lineages, darkness is referred to as its own field of knowing. It is a deeply intuitive and transformational space that, when met intentionally, can unveil the truest expressions of who we are.
Perhaps the most ancient school of mystery, darkness offers a rare and honest encounter with all that lives within.
It is a place to reclaim our light and remember who we are. Darkness does not ask anything of us but simply holds steady as we sit in the unfolding of who we truly are.
Darkness does not give us something we do not already possess, it reveals what has lived within us all along, waiting to be known.
The Wisdom Within Darkness
Land, Design and Intention
Each aspect in the creation of Nocturna Domes was merged intentionally. The goal was to create an energetic living design that weaves potency and potential with land and place. A space to illuminate the shadow, awaken to the divine, and lend our efforts to humanity’s return.
Cortes Island is alive and unfiltered. It is a place that expresses it’s beauty with stunning coastlines and majestic forests. Those who spend time here can feel the interconnectedness and presence that lives within each moment.
The domes were selected as instruments, helping to enhance the intentions living in the hearts of all guests.
Lastly, we collaborated with a renowned numerologist where the decision to build 5 outer domes came to light. 5 is the number of alchemy and union. It reflects the balance of feminine and masculine, and the weaving of light and dark.

Your Private Dome
Within your private dome, you'll find a space designed for both rest and easeful movement. Each dome is connected by a private corridor to the communal dome, where nourishing meals and gentle reassurances are delivered daily.
